🍃Grand Canyon and Surrounding Waterways Adventure🍃

Join Hikeandseek on a fun filled water activity day on and off the famous Grand Canyon Trail. This will involve a short visit to the a small walk in section of canyon, waterways and waterfalls of the Grand Canyon (known as Greaves Creek) . These are generally missed by walkers walking the main Grand Canyon Trail and requires short detours from the Main Trail. An easy to moderately challenging day of walk separated into many sections of water encounters and relaxation.

 
 

🌄Meeting Time and Location: 10am Evans Lookout, Blackheath (Note that Parking at main Carpark may be limited) Transportation must be self-arranged.

⏰Finish Time and Location: Evans Lookout, Blackheath (same as starting location) Approximately 4pm

⏱Tour Length: Approximately 6 hours

Cost: $60pp

Fitness Level Required: Moderate Total Walking Distance will be less than 10km but at least 300m will be climbed over the day – many of which will be stairs. Swimming is optional but highly recommended especially on a hot day (Feel free to enquire more about your fitness suitability for the day.

Technical Skills required: Moderate – There will definitely be a bit of scrambling and a some surfaces may be wet and slippery.

Group Size: Max 15 Participants

Extra Notes: Limited to No Mobile Reception, Personal Photos + Tour Group Photos will be uploaded online and provided within a few days of the tour (Care will be taken to take as nice a photo for participants as possible for lasting memories), General Guide of the locations and other features of the bush will be given.

 You will visit a small section of the main canyon along the Grand Canyon Trail along with a few stops along views, waterways, waterfalls and swimmable waterholes. Plenty of time will be given for participants to rest and time to take a dip. We will also be taking a lunch break next to a pristine spot.

👉🏼You will need to bring:

·         Sun Protection (Hats and coverings recommended) Those wishing to take a dip into the fresh water streams are encouraged not to wear much sunscreen if any to avoid damage to the sensitive ecosystems.

·         Food and snacks for the day including lunch (Resting time will be given to have meals and snacks)

·         Small Backpack

·         Sturdy Hiking Shoes, Sturdy enclosed outdoor shoes recommended

·         Optional Swimmers and Towel

·         3 Litres of water

·         Camera

·         Optional Hiking Poles

·         Please let one other person know of your whereabouts for the trip.
